As a peace activist, Farida Azizi has worked to promote the human rights of Afghan women through her work within the aid community, and through her advocacy at the international level. Because of the threat of her life in her homeland ,  she now lives with her two children in the United States where she has gained asylum. From there she is still working with women’s rights and peacebuilding in Afghanistan.
