Seven was performed in the Red Hall in Prishtina, Kosovo 20 November as a part of the regional tour of Balkan 2013.
The reading was opened by a speech by the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, and performed by the seven women:
Suzan Novoberdaliu – Kosovo MP and chief of Human Rights and Gender Equality Parliamentary Committee
Rajmonda Slybije – a young LGBT activist
Vesa Qena – playwright and performer from the feminist performance collective Haveit
Anamari Repic – a Serbian journalist and deputy director of the public broadcaster, RTK,
Shpresa Agushi – head of the network of Roma women’s organizations of Kosovo
Linda Gusia – sociologist and feminist
Saranda Bogujevci – visual artist and one of the three survivors of the Bogujevci family massacre of March 1999
The play was read in four languages ; Albanian, Serbian, Roma and Turkish to an audience of 450 people. The event featured in main print, broadcast and electronic media in the country, with reports in several languages of Kosovo.
