Seven was performed in Mazar-e-Sharif, located in the province Balkh in northern Afghanistan in May 2013.
The reading was a cooperation between Hedda Production and the Swedish Institute.

The ensemble consisted of both men and women, amongst them Haji Mohammad Abdu, Member of National Parliament. The reading was followed by a lively and rare discussion between students and politicians about the situation for women in Afghanistan.
